The Legacy Security (F00950) table controls access to the Data Browser. Users who are denied access in the F00950 table cannot access the Data Browser application.
Enhanced Data Browser security provides more control by allowing administrators to restrict access to specific tables, views, and data sources. For example, in a development environment, users can be granted access to all tables and views while being restricted from Production data sources. In a production environment, users can access the Data Browser with visibility limited to authorized tables and views.
To ensure that Data Browser security functions correctly, you must complete these tasks:
Adding Data Browser Security, Adding Data Browser Security through the UDO View Security Form, and Adding Grid Format, Watchlists, and Query Security through the UDO View Security Form.
