Setting Up Schedule Patterns

Access the Schedule Pattern Revisions form.

Pattern Identifier

Enter an alphanumeric value that uniquely identifies the schedule pattern. The identifier helps you recognize the pattern when you assign it to an equipment.

Pattern Description

Enter a description for the pattern.

Schedule Type

Select the Schedule Type (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly), and then enter a number in the Occurs every field to specify the interval at which the schedule repeats. Enter a value between 1 and 999 in the Occurs every field. For example, select Monthly and enter 4 to schedule the maintenance tasks every 4 months.

Note: The system uses these values to update the Time Unit, Time Unit Description, and Pattern Interval fields on the Work With Schedule Patterns form.
Seasonal Restriction

Enter the beginning and ending months during which the system should schedule maintenance tasks. You can limit maintenance to a specific seasonal period.

Seasonal Restriction (Start Month and End Month) fields are available only when Schedule Type is set to Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. These fields are not available when Schedule Type is set to Yearly.

Active

The Pattern Status is set to Active by default. You can assign an Active or Inactive status to any schedule pattern; however, only patterns with an Active status can be used to generate PM schedules.
