Description

Original Preprinted Forms

Prints information on preprinted 1099 forms.

Note: You must purchase preprinted form from an office supply store or order from the I.R.S website.

For each supplier who receives a 1099 form, the 1099 return information is printed in the appropriate box and on the appropriate type of return. Each return includes the supplier's legal name, along with the mailing address and tax ID for the supplier, as well as the company that is responsible for the payments to the supplier. For original preprinted forms, use ZJDE0001 version in the Pre-Printed Version processing option of Write Media program (P04515).

Miscellaneous, Dividend, and Interest forms are printed in the standard two-to-a-page format, whereas Government Payments and NonEmployee Compensation forms are printed in the three-to-a-page format approved by the IRS.

Note: The Original Preprinted forms are used to print Copy A to IRS and Copy B to Recipient. You must use RDA to align the forms to meet the specific printer and printer drive needs.

New Preprinted Forms

Prints information on preprinted 1099 forms.

Note: You must purchase preprinted form from an office supply store or order from the I.R.S website.

For each supplier who receives a 1099 form, the 1099 return information is printed in the appropriate box and on the appropriate type of return. Each return includes the supplier's legal name, along with the mailing address and tax ID for the supplier, as well as the company that is responsible for the payments to the supplier. For new preprinted forms, use the BI Publisher feature, XJDE0001 version in the Pre-Printed Version processing option of Write Media program (P04515).

Miscellaneous, Dividend, and Interest forms are printed in the standard two-to-a-page format approved by the IRS.

Blank-Sheet Forms

Prints information on blank paper, one form on one page and the Recipient instruction after each page. This is a copy of the "Copy B" that the IRS provides. This template prints the boxes as well as the data that they contain.

Paper Facsimile Report

Prints a facsimile as the output if you do not have preprinted forms.

The facsimile report is acceptable for sending to the supplier and for internal records, but it cannot be sent to the IRS.

The program prints the 1099 information on 8 1/2 by 11 inch plain paper. It includes the information that the supplier is required to report on an income tax return, as well as the Instructions to Recipient that the IRS provides on preprinted forms.

Proof Report

Prints a preliminary review of the information that you will send to the IRS.

Oracle strongly recommends that you print this report and scrutinize its results. Review the grand totals carefully at this step.

You can make adjustments to the F045141 and F045143 tables and rerun this program as many times as necessary to ensure that the returns are correct before you do the final 1099 processing.
