Generating State W-2 EFW2 and 499R-2 Electronic Filing Workfiles

Access the EFW2/ EFW2 State Electronic Filing Setup/Build Revisions form by selecting MMREF for State from the Row menu.

Statutory Code

Enter an alpha code from UDC table 06/SC. This code specifies the two-character state code that prints on statutory reports such as W-2s.

For example, instead of 06, which might be the taxing authority for the state of Colorado, the system prints the statutory code CO.

Do you want to extract RA records?

Specify whether you want to extract RA records when building the state EFW2 electronic filing file. Values are:

Y: Yes

N: No

Do you want to extract RE records?

Specify whether you want to extract RE records when building the state EFW2 electronic filing file. Values are:

Y: Yes

N: No

Do you want to extract RW records?

Specify whether you want to extract RW records when building the state EFW2 electronic filing file. Values are:

Y: Yes

N: No

Do you want to extract RS records?

Specify whether you want to extract RS records when building the state EFW2 electronic filing file. Values are:

Y: Yes

N: No

Do you want RT records recalculated?

Specify whether you want to recalculate RT records when building the state EFW2 electronic filing file. Values are:

Y: Yes

N: No

Do you want RF records recalculated?

Specify whether you want to recalculate RF records when building the state EFW2 electronic filing file. Values are:

Y: Yes

N: No

Add Versions

Enter the EFW2 Version for electronic filing.

Electronic File Name

Enter the name of the electronic file that the system uses to store the file in the path specified in the Electronic File Directory Path processing option in the Year-End Workbench program (P07810).

Note: If you want to use the file name from the export folder for the new file, leave the electronic file name field blank.When you enter the same electronic file name during subsequent submission, the system appends the data to the existing data in the file.
