Modifying a Layout that is Rejected for Publishing

If your layout is rejected for publishing, the layout is returned to you and appears in the Name drop-down list in the Rework category. Your approver can optionally send notes explaining why the layout was rejected for publishing. You can view notes by clicking the Notes icon.

To modify a layout that was rejected:

  1. Open the Composite Application Framework in edit mode.

  2. Select the layout from the Rework category on the Name drop-down list.

  3. Click the Reserve icon.

This action changes the layout to a personal layout so that you can modify it.

  4. Make the changes to the content and layout as required.

  5. Save the layout by doing one of the following:

    1. Click Save.

This option saves the change on the original layout.

    2. Click Save As and enter a new layout name.

This option saves the change on a new layout and keeps the original layout intact as a personal layout.

Note: You must save the layout before you click the Request to Publish icon. If you do not save the layout, your changes are lost and the original layout without your changes is placed in Pending Approval status.
  6. Click the Request to Publish icon.

  7. Close the framework edit mode.
