New user defined object - Personal Forms

Personal Forms enable a user to customize how their form is displayed. Users can implement specific user interface changes without any Form Design Aid (FDA)-based modification.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Foundation Guide:

Media object attachment improvements

Using a familiar user interface side panel format, users can search and access attachments from the grid and attach files to records by dragging and dropping.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Foundation Guide:

UX One pages

UX One pages alert you to conditions you need to be aware of, enable you to analyze data to determine appropriate actions, and then provide a direct path to the application and form that you need to use to take those actions.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Foundation Guide:

Deploy and configure UX One content

Deploy and configure UX One content, work with development samples, work in a local development environment to test UX One content, and learn about customizing content using Oracle JET.

See the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools UX One Deployment and Development Guide.

External forms

The external form type can be used to connect to external applications, such as ADF applications, JET pages, and Composed EnterpriseOne Pages.

For ADF applications, the external forms can be used instead of using an EnterpriseOne proxy application.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Form Design Aid Guide:

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Deploying and Developing Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) Applications for EnterpriseOne Guide:

External forms as embedded EnterpriseOne form content

External forms can be used for embedded EnterpriseOne form content in a Composed Application Framework (CafeOne) layout.

See updates throughout the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Composite Application Framework (CafeOne) User's Guide, in particular:

Springboard Pane in a Composed EnterpriseOne Page

A Springboard Pane consists of a collection of tasks available to a role. The tasks launched from the Springboard Pane can be EnterpriseOne applications, batch programs, ADF applications, and One View Reports.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Foundation Guide:

Menu indexing

Menu indexing identifies the tasks that can be displayed and accessed by a role from the Springboard Pane of the Composed EnterpriseOne Page.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Foundation Guide:

Pop-up form interconnect

The pop-up interconnection is similar to a modal interconnection in that it enables the user to only work in one form at a time. However, the child form appears in a pop-up window so that the parent form is still visible behind it, providing the user some context.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Form Design Aid Guide:

Power Browse form as hover form

The Hover Form property enables a Power Browse form to function as a Hover form. This is an improvement over the previous method of creating Hover forms from Message forms and includes four new system functions, which are described in the "System Functions in Form Design Aid" appendix.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Form Design Aid Guide:

Universal Cache Browser

The Universal Cache Browser utility enables you to view the cache details of any transaction even before they are committed to tables.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Runtime Administration Guide:

Change in package build process to support objects stored in the database

The process for building packages has changed to support how objects are stored in the database.

Changes were made throughout the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Package Management Guide. See the following section for an overview of the build process:

Because changes were made throughout the guide, two Package Management guides are available: the preceding guide which contains 9.2.1 and forward updates, and a version of the guide that contains updates through EnterpriseOne Tools 9.2.0.7.

SSL/TLS security support

SSL/TLS (Transport Layer Security) is supported for business services packages and the AIS Server.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Package Management Guide:

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Application Interface Services Server Reference Guide:

See the following topics in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Security Administration Guide:

Upload media objects to the database

Use the R98MODAT UBE for the initial upload of all media objects (personal and shared) to the F98MODAT table located in the system data source.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Runtime Administration Guide:

Work with Repository History

Object Management Workbench (OMW) creates records that are stored in a history table. Use the Work with Repository History (P98780H) application to view object history records and export file-based objects as a .Par file for comparing different versions of the objects.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Object Management Workbench Guide:

Database proxy password encryption

Create a certificate store in PEM format and encrypt database proxy user passwords.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Security Administration Guide:

Work Center CafeOne application

This CafeOne application connects to the Work Center using CafeOne layouts. The Work Center CafeOne application is a role-based solution that is supported across a broad portfolio of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne products.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Foundation Guide:

Life cycle management of Internet of Things (IoT) orchestration components

With the latest release of the Orchestrator Studio 3.0 and EnterpriseOne Tools 9.2.1, the Orchestrator Studio includes standard EnterpriseOne user defined object (UDO) features to support the life cycle management of IoT orchestration components as UDOs in EnterpriseOne.

See the following topics in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Orchestrator Guide for Studio Version 8 and Prior:

Additional Application Interface Services (AIS) Server capabilities and services

The AIS Server provides additional services for working with queries, data aggregations, user preferences, and optimizing service request processing (Turbo Mode).

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Application Interface Services Server Reference Guide:

See the following topics in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Application Interface Services Client Java API Developer's Guide:

Maximum amount of returned records for AIS clients

When developing AIS client applications, you can specify a maximum amount of records to return or configure the application to retrieve all records from a grid in an EnterpriseOne form.
