Enterprise Automation Dashboard

This feature provides a central, unified view of enterprise process models, metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other data that you can use to get a broad view or drill into a detailed view of your enterprise.

Specifically, this feature provides the following:

  • An Oracle by Example that describes how to use EnterpriseOne pages to build a unified view of EnterpriseOne automation systems

  • The ability to host up to two enterprise process models on an EnterpriseOne page

  • The ability to create split views of process models and snapshots in the Enterprise Process Modeler

  • The ability to highlight differences between split views based on user-defined thresholds

  • The ability to drill into the query definition and the source data that generated the metrics and KPIs in a process model

Widgets with User Input

This feature extends the ability to provide widget input to users themselves. For example, if you want to create a widget that shows the total value of all open sales orders for a business unit, and your company has 20 business units, you don't need to create and publish 20 widgets. You can create a single widget and enable the user to define the business unit as input. In this way widgets can be personalized for each user, without designers having to create, publish, and manage many widgets for every possible combination of inputs.

Debug Orchestrations with File Inputs

This feature enhances the Debug capability in Orchestrator Studio by enabling you to debug orchestrations that have file inputs. Similar to running an orchestration in Orchestrator Studio, you can specify files as inputs and then step into Debug mode to monitor the step-by-step execution of the orchestration.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Orchestrator Guide:

Detailed Debugging of Orchestration Form Requests

This feature enhances the Debug capability in Orchestrator Studio by providing more granularity in debugging form requests that have multiple forms. The debugger can show you how many forms are within a form request step, which forms executed successfully, and on precisely which form an error occurred. With this enhancement you can easily identify the exact source of an error and debug orchestrations more efficiently.

Scan for Cross-Site-Scripting (XSS) Vulnerabilities embedded in Media Object SVG or PDF files.

This feature enables the system to scan PDF and SVG file types for cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities during the upload process. When the setting is enabled, files containing scripts are blocked.

OAuth Authentication Support for Outbound Messaging

This feature provides additional authentication security for EnterpriseOne outbound messages through OAuth 2.0. Unlike basic authentication, OAuth 2.0 uses token-based access, eliminating the need to store or transmit sensitive credentials, thus reducing the risk of unauthorized access and data breaches significantly.

XLSX Format Support in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Embedded BI Publisher

This enhancement enables users to choose XLSX format type in the Embedded Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP). User can select this output type along with existing output formats during the report design and submission process.

Store Longer Media Object URLs

This feature enables users to store and access media objects in external cloud storage locations regardless of URL length.

Form Extensions for Power Edit Forms: Launch Orchestrations, Notifications, and Logic Extensions

This feature expands the capabilities of form extensions to power edit forms. Specifically, this feature enables you to call orchestrations, notifications, and logic extensions from events on power edit forms. It also enables you to modify the controls on power edit forms as you can with form extensions on other form types.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Using and Approving User Defined Objects Guide:

Notifications on EnterpriseOne Page Tiles

This feature enables you to associate notifications (by subscription) with tiles and connectors on EnterpriseOne pages. You can then see a notification badge, similar to Watchlists and Widgets, displaying the number of unread messages for that subscription right in the context of an EnterpriseOne page tile. For example, suppose you have built an EnterpriseOne page with tiles that depict a Purchase Order process, and one step in that process is "Approve PO." Also suppose that you have built notifications that request approval for purchase orders. With this feature you can associate those notifications to the specific Approve PO step in the process. Even if you have very many notifications, you can view which ones apply directly to the Approve PO step, thus helping you focus on the completion of critical tasks in the context of a process model.

Conditional Launch of an Orchestration, Notification, or Logic Extension from a Form

This feature enables the designer to set conditions under which an orchestration, notification, or logic extension is launched from an event on a form extension.

Support for 4096-bit Certificates for LDAP over SSL

Starting with Tools Release 9.2.26.0, you can use 4096-bit certificates for LDAP over SSL for stronger security.

Web OMW Table Operations

Starting with Tools Release 9.2.26.0, you can use table operations to create and maintain the EnterpriseOne environment. With this feature, you can manage the physical attributes of tables from the EnterpriseOne web client, instead of the development client. This functionality provides extended options for table indexes such as the ability to generate a single index. EnterpriseOne users can perform an *ALTER operation on existing tables with changed formats to retain the existing data.

Pass Printer Output Options as Orchestration Variables

Starting with Tools Release 9.2.26.0, Orchestrator's ability to call EnterpriseOne reports enables you to create implementations that merge the automation and intelligence of Orchestrator with the classic processing of the EnterpriseOne report engine. For report processing that is intended to generate printed output, the automation and intelligence of Orchestrator can be used by dynamically setting several print options.

Job Scheduler – Web Interface Application

This feature provides a web version of the Job Scheduler application, offering the same functionality as the Windows development client version and enabling system administrators to manage all tasks related to the scheduler without the need for a development client. The Scheduler Kernel has an interface that enables system administrators to control, configure, maintain, and monitor scheduled jobs on the web client.

JD Edwards Update Manager: Language Support through Web Software Updates

This feature enables you to apply cumulative (UN) language packages, language fix packages, and language update packages using the Software Updates application run over the web client. Language Packages are provided as a multi-platform deliverable that can be checked into the JD Edwards Update Manager repository, using the web client, and tracked with the software updates history.

Support for Microsoft SQL Server Clustering

Starting with Tools Release 9.2.26.0, customers using Microsoft SQL Server as their database can take advantage of its clustering capabilities with Always On Failover Cluster Instance and Always On availability groups to achieve better business continuity and system availability. This feature provides high availability of the database with graceful database failover during planned maintenance.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Server Manager Guide:

Optimized Sessions Management on Oracle Database

This feature enables you to set a time limit for the database session while you are running your JD Edwards with Oracle Database. It ensures termination of the database sessions whenever the session time exceeds a threshold thereby freeing up the database resources in a timely manner, which can be utilized for subsequent database sessions.
