EnterpriseOne Widgets

Using EnterpriseOne Widgets, you can create, publish, and visualize data that an orchestration can produce. EnterpriseOne Widgets evolve the concept of One View Watchlists by allowing the source of data to come from orchestration output. This guide contains instructions on how you can design different types of Widgets using the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Orchestrator Studio.

Enterprise Process Modeler: Connected Processes

The Connected Processes feature establishes a framework that allows process models to be linked to other processes, thus acting as a subprocess to a parent. In this way, processes can be viewed as modular components, and process designers and users can easily change their focus and context by drilling into a subprocess from a parent process.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Enterprise Process Modeler Guide:

Comparative Criteria on Form Requests, Data Requests, Data Service, and Logic Extensions

This feature enhances Orchestrator form requests, data requests, the AIS data service API, and logic extensions to allow both the left and the right comparison operands to be mapped from data items. For example, if you wanted to get data about your efficiency on fulfilling orders, you can query for: Request Date > Promised Delivery.

See the following topics in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Orchestrator Guide:

JD Edwards Update Manager - Change Assistant Force Merge Option

This feature enables you to force merge object changes to a target environment when updates are applied using Change Assistant with AIS (Application Interface Server). The Force Spec Merge option enables you to bypass object evaluation process in Update Manager (which only merges the objects which are new or updated by Oracle) and merge the object, regardless of whether the incoming object is new or not.

Web Package Build Definition: Direct Access to Log and Output Files

This feature enables you to download package build logs and access the Server Package Build (R9621S) and Client Package Build (R9622C) reports using the Work With Package Build (P9621W) web application.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Package Management Guide:

Comparative Criteria on Queries and Watchlists

This feature enhances queries to allow the right comparison operand to be mapped from a field on the form.

My Tasks

This feature provides two enhancements. First, in addition to notification messages, orchestration messages can now be delivered to the notification list. Second, messages with tracked tasks are easier to identify, thus helping the message recipient be aware of important tasks to complete.

See the following topics in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Foundation Guide:

Restrict File Access to AIS Temporary Directory

This feature adds a layer of administrative control over the location in which files are temporarily stored on the AIS server, for orchestrations that exchange files using FTP or REST connectors. System administrators can configure a setting to restrict orchestration files to the AIS temporary directory, or they can permit orchestration designers to specify an absolute path to any directory on the AIS server file system.

Watchlists on EnterpriseOne Page Connectors

This feature expands the value of EnterpriseOne pages, particularly pages used to depict process models, by exposing metrics about the relationships between adjacent steps in a business process. For example, metrics could be used to measure the number of transactions that are queued or are moving from one step to another.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Using and Approving User Defined Objects Guide:

Translatable Orchestration Input Labels

This feature extends the capabilities of launching orchestrations, notifications, and logic extensions from EnterpriseOne pages and form extensions by enabling you to not only change the labels on inputs, but also to provide language translations for those labels.

See the following topics in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Using and Approving User Defined Objects Guide:

Support for HMACSHA256 String Encoding

This feature enables users to encode their JD Edwards generated invoices and supplier payment files with stronger encryption of HMACSHA256 encoding.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Development Standards for Business Function Programming Guide:

Pass Application Version as a Variable in Message Links

This feature enhances the action links in messages by allowing the designer to pass the application version as an orchestration variable rather than hard-coding a specific version. This enables the application version to be configured dynamically, either by passing in a version as an orchestration or notification input, or by allowing the orchestration to derive the version in a previous orchestration step.

Server Manager: EnterpriseOne Page Clear Cache

This feature enables system administrators to clear the cache for EnterpriseOne pages from the Server Manager Console. This updates the changes made to the EnterpriseOne pages without any delay.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Server Manager Guide:

Synchronized Cache Clear Between Enterprise Server and HTML Server

This feature enables system administrators to clear the caches of the Enterprise Server and its associated HTML servers automatically with a single click.

Automatic Negotiation of TLS for Secure Communication

This feature automatically negotiates the TLS version to be used for secure communication between the various components of JD Edwards. This enables seamless and secure communication between components supporting different versions of TLS.
