Understanding System Activation

Before you can enter and process CRM data, you must activate the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne CRM Foundation system. The CRM Foundation system code is 90CA. To activate system 90CA, a record containing this data must exist in the F99410 table:

  • The Data Item field contains SY90CA.

  • The Use Module field contains Yes.

Important: If you do not create the SY90CA record in the F99410 table, CRM business functions and programs will not function properly. However, the system does not issue an error.

You can use either of these programs to create this record:

  • R90CA170 (F99410 Activate CRM Foundation)

    The system creates the record automatically when you run this batch program. This program does not exist on a menu. You run this program using Batch Versions, which you access by entering BV in the fast path.

  • P99410 (EnterpriseOne System Control)

    You manually add the record to the F99410 using this interactive program.

Note: If you are using the Mobile Sales system, in addition to creating the SY90CA record, you must also update the CRMMSL record in the F99410 table so that the Use Module field contains Yes. You can use the P99410 program to manually update the Use Module field, or you can run the R90CA171 (F99410 Activate Mobile Sales) program to update the field.
