Understanding Parent and Component Information

You can establish a hierarchy of parent and component relationships among the equipment in the Equipment Master. You can track up to 25 levels of component relationships for a particular piece of equipment. After you establish such a hierarchy, you can:

• Report on equipment costs and activity at the parent or component level.

• Track all components that have been assigned to a parent, or the parents to which a specific component has been assigned.
