Oracle by Example brandingDeploying Batch Updates Using Change Assistant (Web Client)

section 0Before You Begin

This 20 minutes OBE shows you how to deploy multiple updates in batch mode using Change Assistant on the web client.

In this OBE, you will:

  • Deploy batch update using Change Assistant on the web client
  • Validate the batch deployment using the Work With Software Updates application (P96470W) instead of the Windows Deployment Server.

Background

Starting with Tools Release 9.2.8, you can use the JD Edwards Web Client to deploy multiple updates in batch mode using the Change Assistant. This enables remote patch management.

Prerequisite

Ensure that the AIS Authentication is configured and you are connected to the Application Interface Server.

Note: You can filter the search results by environment using the Target Development Environment list box. Leaving a wildcard can result in the full dependency list as many environments may not have all the dependencies.
