Creating a Data Structure for Key Data or Additional Data in Web OMW (Release 9.2.7)

Access OMW – Web (P98220W).

  1. On the Object Management Workbench - Web form, click Add (+).
  2. On the Create EnterpriseOne Object form, from the General Object drop-down list, choose Data Structure.
  3. Click OK.
  4. On the Add Object form, complete these fields:
    • Object NameUse the data structure naming conventions to name the data structure.
    • Description
    • Product Code
    • Product System Code
    • Object Use (use 360 for data structures)
  5. Click the Regular Data Structure option and then click OK.

The system returns to the Object Management Workbench – Web form.

  6. In the Project Objects tab, find the data structure object you created. Click the check box to select it.
  7. From the More Row Actions drop-down, choose Design.
  8. On Data Structure Revisions, use the right-side grid to search and select data items from the data dictionary to add to your data structure. Select the data dictionary items you want to include in the key data or additional data, and use the Move Left arrow to add them to Structure Members on the left.

You can rename structure member items by clicking the data item and typing a new name.

  9. When you are finished choosing data items, click OK. The data structure appears under your project in OMW - Web.
  10. Repeat this process to create both the key data structure and the additional data structure.
  11. Use the standard EnterpriseOne lifecycle management processes to define, build, and deploy a package with your new data structure objects. (Depending on the governance policies at your company, this is likely a system administrator activity.)
Note: (Tools Release 9.2.8) Depending on the governance policies at your company, you can check in your new data structure objects and use the Promote to Package action in the More Row Actions drop-down to deploy your new data structures directly to the active server package.

After you create the key data and additional data structures and deploy them to the package, you can attach them to the workflow process. See "Creating a JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Workflow Process in OMW."
