Understanding the Maximum Iteration Threshold
Before you create a reciprocal assignment, you must specify a number for the maximum iteration threshold in the Cost Management Constants program (P1609). The number that you enter in the Cost Management Constants program serves as a default value for the maximum number of iterations in the Assignment Definition program (P1610). It is also used when you specify a residual balance for your assignment. If you enter a residual balance for your assignment and the system cannot meet the amount, it stops assigning costs when it reaches the maximum iteration threshold. The maximum iteration threshold prevents the assignment from going into an infinite loop.
