General Ledger Receipts
A general ledger receipt, sometimes referred to as a G-type receipt, is a miscellaneous receipt that is not applied to a customer invoice. A miscellaneous receipt could be a rebate or any other type of payment that does not affect the accounts receivable trade account.
To enter a miscellaneous receipt using the Standard Receipts Entry (P03B102) or Speed Receipts Entry (P03B0001) program, the base currency of the company associated with the general ledger account number must be the same as the base currency of the receipt. If the general ledger account is a monetary account, the currency code of the account must be the same as the transaction currency code of the receipt. If they are different, the system issues an error message Bank Account Currency Invalid when you enter the miscellaneous receipt.
