Enable Logging for UBEs

Caution: For Upgrades, it is very important that you enable logging for UBEs prior to running any workbenches that perform Table Conversions. Otherwise you will not get any logs when you run the Table Conversions regardless of whether you have debug logging turn on. The ability to check the logs to make sure everything runs as expected is critical to ensure the success of your upgrade.

Before running any Table Conversion, you should use Server Manager to enable UBE logging.

In Server Manager, choose the Advanced drop down for Configuration, and then choose Batch Processing. As shown below, the default configuration setting for the Save Empty Debug Log field is Remove Empty Debug Log, where Remove means no logging will be kept.

As shown below, to enable logging for UBEs, you should change the setting for the Save Empty Debug Log field to Keep Empty Debug Log, where Keep means logging is enabled:

After your upgrade is complete and you are no longer running Table Conversions, you can disable UBE logging.
