Work Order Header Transactions (Release 9.2 Update)

In an inbound interoperability work order header transaction, the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system enables you to import work order header information generated by third-party systems.

The Inbound Work Order Header program (P4801Z1) enables you to enter inbound work order transactions and the Work Order Inbound Processor (R4801Z1I) processes the information related to the inbound work order header, parts list, and routing records and updates the F4801, F4801T, F3111, and F3112 tables.

Note: The Work Order Inbound Processor (P4801Z1I) supports inbound interoperability for manufacturing work orders of types discrete manufacturing, rate schedules, and process manufacturing. For process items, the system supports inbounding of work order header along with ingredients and routing.

When R4801Z1I processes an inbound work order header (using Add Transactions) to create new work orders, the system generates a new work order number using Next Numbering. The system then stores the order number entered in P4801Z1 for Add Transaction as the Original Document Number in the ODOC field in the Work Order Master Tag File (F4801T) table and the Outbound Work Order Header (F4801Z1) table.

Processing Inbound Work Order Header Transactions in Shop Floor Management:

To process inbound interoperability transactions in shop floor management, enter the inbound record in the P4801Z1 program. The system saves the record in the F4801Z1 table. Ensure that the required fields are entered for the system to process the work order header record successfully.

The Work Order Inbound Processor (R4801Z1I) processes the work order and creates the records in the F4801 and F4801T tables.

If the work order header is processed successfully, the R4801Z1I program also processes any work order parts list and routing transactions attached to the processed work order header.
