Entering Tax Exemptions for CBS, IBS, and IS Taxes

Transaction Nature

Enter a three-character code that identifies a type of transaction for the tax purpose. To enter valid values for the Transaction Nature code, enter the code in the XYY format where X defines the origin of the transaction such as inbound or outbound, and YY defines the transaction as a whole, such as a sales transaction. An example of transaction nature is 511.

Suffix of Transaction Nature

Enter a two-character field that in conjunction with the Transaction Nature code identifies the additional implications of a type of transaction. For example, the suffix might indicate that a certain type of transaction represents an inventory change, or that a transaction is eligible for a certain type of tax. An example of a transaction nature code with suffix is 511 01 that represents 511 for the In-state sale and 01 for bonus.

Address Number

Enter an address book number that corresponds to the Ship To address number that is used in the purchase order or the sales order cycle.

Fiscal Classification

Enter a code that specifies the group of products as defined by the local tax authorities.

Item Number
Enter a number that the system assigns to an item.
IS Tax Type

Select this checkbox to specify the CST code and the tributary class for IS tax lines for the specified combination of fields.

Tributary Class for CBS and IBS

Enter a value from UDC 76B/CX to specify the tributary class for CBS or IBS tax type.

CST Code for CBS and IBS

Enter the three-character CST code to create a combination with the tributary class to be used for tax exemption in calculation of the CBS and IBS taxes.

Tributary Class for IS

Enter a value from UDC 76B/CH to specify the tributary class for IS tax type.

CST Code for IS

Enter a CST code to create a combination with the tributary class to be used for tax exemption in calculation of the IS tax.

Enter a value from UDC 76B/CX to specify the tributary class for the regular tax type.
CST Code for Regular Tax

Enter a CST code to create a combination with the tributary class to be used for tax exemption in calculation of the regular tax.
