Understanding the RET-1 and ANX-1 Reports

RET-1 is a return form that every registered supplier must submit to the government periodically. The RET-1 report contains the summarized information about the outbound and inbound GST transactions that the supplier has completed during the specific period. The RET-1 report has a specific format with separate sections for the different types of transactions.

ANX-1 is the annexure for the RET-1 report and contains line level details of the majority of the summarized transactions reported in RET-1. The ANX-1 report also has a specific format with separate sections for the different types of transactions.

In the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system, you use the ANX-1 and RET-1 Information Extract Report - IND (R75I824) to extract the information that is required for the RET-1 and ANX-1 reports. You extract the transactions for a GST unit and for a date range. The date range cannot exceed three months. Canceled GST invoices and void transactions are not included in the extracted data.

You use the BI Publisher to generate the R75I824 report and save it in Excel format. Then, you can use this information for reporting in the GSTN portal.
