General

If your JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Development Client will connect to an enterprise database that resides on a database server, you must install a database client.

You must obtain the database client from your database vendor and install it on the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Development Client.

Your JD Edwards EnterpriseOne administrator may provide you with a batch file that sets up the ODBC data sources for the database client to connect to a TLS-enabled database server. Otherwise you may need to manually configure the port. Refer to the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne System Administration Guide for details.

Additionally for the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Development Client, you will need to manually perform configuration for TLS connectivity. Refer to the following section of this guide entitled: "Importing a TLS Certificate File".
