Examine the Local Database Installer Logs
Even though the screen indicates that the installation was successful, you should perform the following checks to verify that the database truly installed correctly:
Examine the log file
The log file is in this folder:
C:\Program Files\Oracle\Inventory\logs
The log file name is named:
cloneActionsyyyy-mm-dd_hh-mm-ssAM|PM.log
where the syntax is:
yyyy
is the yearmm
is the monthdd
is the day of the monthhh
is the hourmm
is the minutesss
is the secondsAM|PM
is either AM or PMFor additional details on log file names and location, refer to the section of this guide entitled: Oracle Database Installer Logs.
Verify that the Oracle database services exist and are running
From the Microsoft Windows Control Panel, navigate to Administrative Tools > Services.
In the list of Services, look for these services:
OracleE1LocalTNSListener
OracleServiceE1LOCAL
If either of the above services is missing, it indicates that there was a problem in completing all the installation and configuration steps. You should examine the logs specified in the table in the section of this guide entitled: Oracle Database Installer Logs.
To remedy you will probably need to deinstall the database engine using the steps in the section of this guide entitled: Using the OUI Installer to Uninstall JD Edwards EnterpriseOne from the Deployment Server , reboot the Deployment Server machine, and then reinstall the Oracle database.
