In this OBE, you will:

  1. Verify the Update Center and AIS connection preferences.
  2. Search for Configuration packages (Data Packs, UDO Bundles, or EnterpriseOne Sample packages) on the Oracle JD Edwards Update Center using Change Assistant.
  3. Download a Data Pack(s) as a Batch.
  4. Deploy the Data Pack(s) as a Server Batch.
  5. Downloading Configurations - UN*_UDO_Bundle and EnterpriseOne Samples.

Background

Starting with Tools Release 9.2.9, you can use Change Assistant with AIS (Application Interface Server) connection to deploy Configuration packages.

Configuration files: Data Packs, UN*_UDO Bundle, and EnterpriseOne Samples can be downloaded from the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Update Center.

Custom Configurations are created with Configuration Assistant and delivered to the Customer by the Business Partner.

There are two methods of deploying Configurations using Change Assistant.

  • Deploying Configurations using Change Assistant on the Deployment Server.
  • Deploying Configurations using Change Assistant with the Applications Interface Server (AIS) from a web client (without Deployment Server).

In this OBE, we will perform the steps to deploy Data Pack Configuration packages using Change Assistant with AIS connection.
