Query Manager Tool for One View Financial Statements

You use a modified version of the Query Manager tool to create a query that the OVFS functionality uses for data selection. You can select data items from the Account Master (F0901) and Business Unit Master (F0006) tables to use for data selection for Data row definitions and statement versions, and from the Account Balances (F0902), F0901, and F0006 tables for column definitions. The system associates the data selection to the row definition, column definition, or statement version. You can set up one set of data selection only for each row definition, column definition, and statement version.

You access the data selection setup forms by clicking the Data Selection button in the Row Definitions (P09310), Column Definitions (P09320), or Statement Versions (P09340) programs. When you click the Data Selection button, the programs open a data selection form that contains the Query Manager side-panel. The programs name the query (data selection) for row definitions and column definitions using the row or column definition name. For statement versions, the query name is a concatenation of statement definition name and the version name. You cannot change the query name.

After you access the Query Manager panel, you:

  • Select the data items to use for data selection.

Click the plus sign (+) in the Data Selection form or use the Additional Fields Selection list in the Query Manager panel to select data items.

If you choose, you can enter values in the QBE (query by example) line on the Data Selection form and then click Find to display the records that meet your search criteria. You can display the records before or after you specify the data items to use for data selection. Unlike other One View reports, displaying records before you select the data items to include is not required.

  • Specify the comparison type.

    See Comparison Types.

  • Enter the comparison values, if applicable.

Some comparison types require that you enter a value. For example, if the comparison type is between, then you must enter multiple values for the range of values.
