Row Definition Usage in Financial Statements

You build financial statements by adding column definitions and row definitions to statement definitions. You then create one or more versions and layouts for the statement definition. When you generate the financial statement, the system combines the parameters from the column, row, and statement definitions, any data selection specified, and the version information, to generate the financial statement.

You can use each row definition that you create in multiple financial statements. For example, if you use your revenue accounts in multiple statements, you could set up a single row definition for your revenue accounts and then use it in the multiple statements. You can also use a row definition multiple times in a statement definition if you place each occurrence of the row definition in a different section in the statement definition.
