Closing an Agreement

An agreement is no longer active when the expiration date equals the current system date. To close an agreement earlier than the expiration date, change the status or enter a cancellation date and reason on the Agreement Master Revisions form.

You can also close an agreement while making agreement adjustments.

The Agreement Master program (P38010) enables you to reset the agreement expiration date to an earlier date.(Release 9.2 Update)

The system runs the check on these agreement master tables to ensure that the associated transaction date records (effective date and expiration date) are prior to or same as the preponed expiration date:

• Agreement Quantities file (F38011)
• Agreements Transaction Ledger (F38111)
• Agreements Committed Quantities (F38112)
• Agreements Quantities Schedule (F38013)

If any of the transactions associated with the agreement have a transaction date later than the expiration date being set, the system displays an error.
