Mandatory Pre-Upgrade Process - Upgrading the Pristine Environment

Due to the hundreds of table conversions, which will run during the upgrade process, it is recommend that you run table conversions on the Enterprise Server. The following process is necessary to run Table Conversions on the server.

Caution: The Pristine (PS920) environment must be installed prior to running Table Conversions. Each step must be completed and checked off in the exact order listed below.
  • Create an Upgrade Plan for the Pristine (PS920) environment.

  • Follow the steps in the Starting Installation Planner section and create a plan for Pristine only.

  • Run the Upgrade Plan just created for the Pristine (PS920) environment.

    Note: Table Conversions will not run when upgrading the Pristine (PS920) environment.The following steps may be completed while the Installation Workbench is running the Pristine (PS920) upgrade plan.
  • Install the latest Tools Release on the Enterprise Server (the Tools Release level must match what was installed on the Deployment Server).

    Note: This step may also be performed while the Installation Workbench is running.
  • Ensure that JD Edwards EnterpriseOne services are up and running on the Enterprise Server.

    Note: Installation Workbench for the Pristine Environment must be completed before proceeding with following steps.
    Note: After running the Pristine Upgrade Workbench, sign out of EnterpriseOne and sign in again before starting the Upgrade for your next environment.
  • Continue upgrading your desired environments.
