Determine Existing Database Settings

Use this procedure to determine the existing database settings:

1. Sign on to the Enterprise Server as the instance owner.

2. Enter the follow command (substituting your database_name):

   DB2 get db cfg for database_name

3. Using the returned results of the above command, record the existing values for these settings:

   • LOCKLIST Size

   • DBHEAP Size

   • CATALOGCACHE_SZ Size

   • Statement Statistics

4. Quiesce (temporarily suspend) JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.

5. Proceed to the following sections to verify if your existing settings are suitable for performing a JD Edwards EnterpriseOne upgrade. If not, then instructions are provided to change the settings. You will also need to turn off Statement Statistics as described in the section entitled: Turning Off Statement Statistics.
