Defining Gift Types

To set up gift types, use the Gift Types component (AV_GFT_TYPE_TBL).

This section discusses how to set up gift types at your institution. You use gift types on the Gift Entry and Gift Adjustment pages.

Setting Up Gift Types

Access the Gift Types page (Set Up SACR, and then Product Related, and then Contributor Relations, and then Session Management, and then Gift Types).

The following values are required in the GIFT_TYPE field that resides in the AV_GFT_TYPE_TBL table:

MG	Matching Gift
GIK	Gift-In-Kind
PP	Pledge Payment

Field or Control	Description
CAE Type (Council for Aid to Education type)	Select the gift type that you are defining. The Council for Aid to Education (CAE) establishes the CAE gift types, which you use to produce the CAE report. Gift In Kind gift types that do not have a Real Estate tender type assigned to them are reported in Part IV of the CAE report (II, C2a, Number and dollar value of company products).
