Under the title Configuration there is a note: Important: Before Starting: Limits: Ensure your tenancy has not reached its VCN limit. See Service Limits. (This is a link.) Access: Ensure you have permission to work in the compartment you select. In the Basic Information section there is a field for VCN Name and a drop-down list for Compartment. In the Configure VCN and Subnets section there are fields for VCN CIDR Block, Public Subnet CIDR, and Private Subnet CIDR Block. Under DNS Resolution there is a check box Use DNS Hostnames in this VCN, which is selected.
