Setting Up Billing Templates to Archive Billing Data

Use these steps to setup PeopleSoft Billing templates to archive billing data:

To set up and archive billing data in PeopleSoft Billing, you primarily use the Data Archive Manager and its associated pages. This includes defining archive objects, queries, templates, and executing the archive process. This list provides the key setup pages along with their navigation paths.

1. Use the Manage Archive Objects page (PeopleTools, and then Data Archive Manager , and then Manage Archive Objects) to define all billing-related data objects that need to be archived.

   This includes invoice headers, line details, VAT records, and so on.

2. Use the Query Manager page (Reporting Tools, and then Query, and then Query Manager) to create and maintain archive queries for billing data to be archived, such as BI_ARCHIVE_ALL_BI for all business units and BI_ARCHIVE_BY_BU for specific business units).

3. Use the Manage Archive Templates page (PeopleTools, and then Data Archive Manager , and then Manage Archive Templates) to create archive templates that bundle archive objects and queries, defining the full set of records moved during the archive process.
