2.4.2 Defining Settings for the ChartField Configuration Process

The ChartField configuration process settings differ based on the database selected.

Review the following details:

• DB2 z/OS- Oracle recommends no changes.

• Microsoft SQL Server- Oracle recommends no changes.

• Oracle

  • Rollback or UNDO Tablespace = 1536MB.

  • Rollback Segment sizing: Initial Extent + (Next Extent * Maxextents) = 1024 MB (approximate).

  • dml_locks = 1024 (set in init.ora)

    Changing the dml_locks setting requires that you recycle the instance.
