TIGER Cartography Boundary Data License

Development received the TIGER cartography Boundary Data files from the United States census bureau.

The boundary information in the TIGER/Line Shapefiles is for statistical data collection and tabulation purposes only. Their depiction and designation for statistical purposes does not constitute a determination of jurisdictional authority or rights of ownership or entitlement and are not legal land descriptions. (Development should also include the statement in this term somewhere in the product documentation, depending on how the data is being used.)

1.1 TIGER/Line Shapefile Legal Disclaimers No warranty, expressed or implied, is made with regard to the accuracy of the data in the TIGER/Line Shapefiles, and no liability is assumed by the United States Government in general, or the Census Bureau specifically, as to the positional or attribute accuracy of the data. The boundary information in the TIGER/Line Shapefiles is for statistical data collection and tabulation purposes only. TIGER/Line® is a registered trademark of the Census Bureau. 1.2 New Layers provided in this release This release includes the following updated layers:

• CD118 – A new Congressional District 118th session shapefiles at the state level.

• SLDL—A State Legislative District Lower chamber shapefile updated for the 2022 legislative year at the state level.

• SLDU—A State Legislative District Upper chamber shapefiles updated for the 2022 legislative year at the state level.

• UAC20—A new Urban Areas layer containing the updated areas delineated from 2020 tabulation blocks at the national level.

• TABBLOCK2020—An updated 2020 tabulation block layer containing updated fields pertaining to the new 2020 Urban Areas at the state level.

• FACES—Updated face layer containing updated CD118, SLDL, SLDU, and UACE20 values pertaining to the newly delineated entities for those layers at the county level.

• Connecticut 2022 County Equivalents: A new county equivalent layer containing the 2022 Connecticut county equivalents.

1.3 Citation Information Copyright protection is not available for any work of the United States Government (Title 17 U.S.C., Section 105). Thus, you are free to reproduce census materials as you see fit. We would ask, however, that you cite the Census Bureau as the source.
