Calculating Maternity Leave

All female employees are covered by the Maternity Protection and Benefits of the Employment Act. A pregnant female employee is entitled to leave from work for 4 weeks before and 12 weeks immediately after delivery, totalling 16 weeks. The 16 weeks leave is to be paid by the employer if the female employee satisfies specific conditions. Employees who have completed 90 days of service in the company are entitled to maternity leave.
