Understanding German Public Sector Reporting

German Public Sector enables you to generate reports using BI Publisher for Oracle (BI Publisher) on the following employee data:

  • Workforce statistic

  • Child allowance

Workforce Statistic

Workforce Statistic ascertains data about the structure of the number of public service employees in Germany. It is conducted on the 30th of June each year in form of a census.

In German Public Sector, the Workforce Statistic report displays workforce data of an employee and the information comes from several source systems: HCM, German Public Sector, and Payroll.

Child Allowance

Similar to Workforce Statistic, German Public Sector provides reporting on employees’ child allowance information, as required by 4 Steuerstatistiken (StStatG), using the same reporting framework. The data that is available in the child allowance report includes:

  • (for beneficiaries) Number of children with allowance payments, marital status, country of residence, and zip code of residence.

  • (for children) Sequence number and age as of the period’s end date.

The setup and viewing pages for the child allowance report are labeled family allowance in the application.
