Creating Virtual Data Cubes

To create a virtual data cube:

1. Select Start, and then Programs, and then PeopleTools 8.5x, and then Application Designer to access PeopleSoft Application Designer.

2. After signing in to the PeopleSoft Application Designer, with an analytic model definition opens, select Part, and then New, and then Data Cube.

   The Edit Part Name dialog box appears.

3. Enter the name of the data cube.

4. Click the OK button.

5. On the General tab of the data cube's properties, select the Virtual Cube (doesn't store data) check box.
