Working with MCP Server for PeopleTools Metadata

Model Context Protocol, or MCP, is an open standard that gives AI agents a consistent way to work with external systems, tools, and data.

PeopleSoft provides an MCP server that enables MCP-compatible Large Language Model (LLM) clients and AI-powered applications to retrieve PeopleTools object metadata. Depending on the configured server mode, clients can also compile PeopleCode without saving it, or stage and save PeopleCode changes to the PeopleSoft database. The MCP tools are backed by delivered PeopleTools metadata APIs.
