Creating a Process Definition

A process type of XML Publisher is delivered as system data and is available on thePeopleTools, and then Process Scheduler, and then Process Definition page. An application process that is defined and assigned the XML Publisher process type, is required to have the same name as the BI Publisher Report that it is intended to execute. The Application Engine program that extracts the data must also have the same name as the process name. Effectively, the BI Publisher report name, Process Scheduler process name, and the Application Engine program name must all be the same. This ensures that entries for output type and format on the runtime Process Scheduler Request page will reflect the definitional metadata under the BI Publisher report definition.
