To enable archive logging for Oracle GoldenGate on Oracle 11g, use these commands in SQL Plus:

SQL> startup mount
ORACLE instance started.

Variable Size             469763688 bytes
Database Buffers          327155712 bytes
Redo Buffers                6782976 bytes
Database mounted.
SQL> ALTER DATABASE ARCHIVELOG;
