Repackaging the PeopleTools Upgrade Change Package

This step is dependent on changes you made to the template or PeopleTools upgrade files in the previous activity. If you chose to modify the template, and/or want to include modified scripts in the PeopleTools upgrade Change Package for the next upgrade pass against the same database, then follow these instructions to create a customized PeopleTools-only upgrade Change Package with your changes.

To repackage the updated PeopleTools Upgrade Change Package:

1. Navigate one directory level above the high level Change Package directory containing your saved upgrade scripts, modified upgrade template, documentation subdirectory and other various files. This directory should have the same name matching the delivered PeopleTools Upgrade Change Package.

2. If the zip file for your Change Package already exists, delete it or rename it.

3. Zip the high level Change Package directory to create a zip file. This new zip file should have the same name as the delivered PeopleTools Upgrade Change Package.

After completing this activity, you may use this customized Change Package for your next upgrade pass against the same database.
