Using Container Code

PeopleTools container code is available at ${PS_HOME}/containers/OraclePeopleTools. Use container code to build a PeopleTools container image zip.

To use the container code:

  1. Copy ${PS_HOME}/containers/OraclePeopleTools to your container build machine.
  2. Change the permissions on the OraclePeopleTools directory.
    chmod -R 755 OraclePeopleTools
  3. Build the context directory.

    cd OraclePeopleTools/containerfiles/pt
  4. Copy three PeopleTools DPK zip files into the /OraclePeopleTools/containerfiles/pt directory.
  5. Build the image.
    /bin/sh buildContainerImage.sh -t <image_name:tag> -s <image zip file location> 2>&1 | tee buildContainerImage.log

    In this command:

For -t <image_name:tag>, enter an image name and tag in lower-case letters only. For example, oracle/peopletools/midtier:8.63

For -s <image zip file location>, enter a location to store the image zip file. This is optional, for build administrators only.
