Using Deploy-only Mode on Microsoft Windows
Use deploy-only mode to extract the OpenSearch, OpenSearch Dashboards, Logstash, and JDK from the OSK DPK to the specified directory without integrating with the PeopleSoft system. The deployment does not require a running PeopleTools mid-tier.
To use deploy-only mode:
-
Download the required OSK DPK for Microsoft Windows, referred to as OSK_FILENAME.zip, and save it in a newly created directory accessible to the Microsoft Windows host, referred to as OSK_INSTALL.
-
In a command prompt, change directory to OSK_INSTALL.
cd OSK_INSTALL -
Extract the entire contents of OSK_FILENAME.zip in the same directory, OSK_INSTALL.
unzip OSK_FILENAME.zipNote:
It is a good idea to extract into the same directory where you downloaded the zip files, and to extract into an empty directory for each new installation.
The extraction creates the following directories and files in OSK_INSTALL:
-
setup directory — includes the setup scripts and a silent installation sample
-
archives directory — includes archives for deployment
-
readme.txt file
-
opensearch–manifest — lists the versions of OpenSearch and JDK
-
-
Run the DPK setup script from OSK_INSTALL/setup as follows:
psft-dpk-setup.bat –-deploy SELECT_COMP--deploy_base_dir BASE_DIR- Specify the search component that you want to deploy for the SELECT_COMP option.
Command Option Component Deployed Sample Command -allAll the OSK DPK components
psft-dpk-setup.bat --deploy -all --deploy_base_dir /home/opensearch-osOpenSearch
psft-dpk-setup.bat --deploy -os --deploy_base_dir /home/opensearch-osdOpenSearch Dashboards
psft-dpk-setup.bat --deploy -osd --deploy_base_dir /home/opensearch-lsLogstash
psft-dpk-setup.bat --deploy -ls --deploy_base_dir /home/opensearch-dpData-prepper
psft-dpk-setup.bat --deploy -dp --deploy_base_dir /home/opensearch-fbFluent-bit
psft-dpk-setup.bat --deploy -fb --deploy_base_dir /home/opensearch -
For the
deploy_base_diroption, specify the full path where you want the components deployed. -
Use double-dashes when specifying the script options; for example,
--deploy. Use a single dash to specify the component to be deployed; for example,-all.
- Specify the search component that you want to deploy for the SELECT_COMP option.
-
Review the status messages as the script deploys the selected components.
