Understanding the PeopleTools Middleware DPK Name and Contents

The PT-MW-DPKs that you build or download from My Oracle Support are zip files. Be sure to read these instructions before you unzip.

The PT-MW-DPK file names have the following format:

PT-MW-DPK-<OS>-8.63-<DATE>.zip.

• <OS> is one of these operating systems:

  • LNX for Linux

  • WIN for Microsoft Windows

• <DATE> is the date that the DPK was made available, with the format year-month-day (yymmdd).

1. Download from My Oracle Support and ensure there is sufficient disk space before extracting.
2. Extract the downloaded package PT-MW-DPK-<OS>-8.63-<DATE>.zip using the native archive extraction utility for your operating system.
3. The extraction produces the following files:

   • cpu_archives directory — The script uses this directory to apply CPUs to installed software components (third-party) on a deployed environment.

   • PatchTuxedoInPSHOME.py
   • psft_patches.yaml
   • ptmw-manifest file — This file lists the included software versions.
   • readme.txt
