Upgrading Existing Cluster

PeopleTools 8.63 is integrated with OpenSearch version 3.2.0 and OpenSearch Dashboards version 3.2.0. Search Framework enables you to upgrade from the Elasticsearch 7.10 and Kibana 7.10 to OpenSearch and OpenSearch Dashboards 2.11.0 without requiring you to perform a full index build.

Note:

Direct upgrade from Elasticsearch to OpenSearch 3.2.0 is not supported. To upgrade an existing Elasticsearch cluster to OpenSearch 3.2.0, you must first upgrade the cluster to OpenSearch 2.11.0. After successfully completing the upgrade to OpenSearch 2.11.0, you can then upgrade the cluster to OpenSearch 3.2.0.

You use the OSK DPK to upgrade from Elasticsearch to OpenSearch. You may choose to run the OSK DPK in interactive mode or in silent mode. The instructions to upgrade are described in PeopleSoft Deployment Packages Installation for Search Components for the current release.
