Setting Oracle Database Configuration Parameters for a Siebel Upgrade

This topic provides upgrade-specific settings for the Oracle RDBMS.

Environments: Development, Test and Production.

Databases: Oracle only.

Use the following strategy to set parameters:

  • If required, upgrade your Oracle Database and client software to the supported version, using Oracle’s tools and documented procedures. You can find platform, database, and other certifications for Siebel on My Oracle Support.   • Set parameters using the recommendations in the Siebel Installation Guide for the operating system you're using. You can find these recommendations in the chapter on configuring the RDBMS: Configuring the RDBMS.
  • Configure the database and set parameters as indicated in the topics that follow.
  • After the upgrade, reset the configuration parameters to the values listed in the Siebel Installation Guide for the operating system you're using.
