About the Integration of Siebel CRM with Oracle Communications Launch Cloud Service

The prebuilt integration between Oracle Communications Launch Cloud Service and Siebel CRM uses a centralized catalog architecture. In this chapter, Oracle Communications Launch Cloud Service is referred to as Launch. Launch is the primary source for commercial catalog definitions, and Siebel CRM consumes those definitions for order capture and downstream fulfillment processing.

Launch manages product definitions, promotions, and pricing definitions. Siebel CRM uses the synchronized catalog information to support product administration, order capture, and order management processes.

The integration uses the Siebel Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) framework and REST APIs to exchange catalog data between Siebel CRM and Launch.

The integration supports a one-time migration of catalog definitions from Siebel CRM to Launch. This migration establishes Launch as the primary catalog source. After Launch is baselined, product creation and catalog updates are managed in Launch and distributed to Siebel CRM.
