Migrating (Lift-And-Shift) Existing Siebel CRM Deployments

The Siebel Lift utility is a command-line utility, developed in Python that is used for migrating an existing Siebel CRM deployment to the cloud or any CNCF certified Kubernetes cluster. The Siebel Lift utility performs the following tasks:

  • Creates deployment artifacts from your existing on-premises Siebel CRM deployment and stores them in a staging location.
  • Reads the stored artifacts and uploads them to OCI Object Storage to populate the migration pipeline for your Siebel CRM deployment on OCI.

The Siebel Lift utility is available on MOS as Siebel CRM 26.8.0.0 Lift Utility (Patch).

You can use a shared network file storage or an OCI object storage with the Lift utility. For more information, see the "Using a Shared Network File System During Lift-And-Shift" section of Deploying Siebel CRM using SCM.

Greenfield deployments of Siebel CRM don't use the Siebel Lift utility.
