Enabling Authentication for Siebel CRM Observability

Starting with SCM 26.8, you must configure HTTP Basic Authentication for the public Prometheus and OpenSearch Dashboards URLs. You must configure authentication separately for each observability component:

• When Siebel CRM Observability - Monitoring is enabled, configure Prometheus authentication in the prometheus_auth section of the Siebel CRM deployment payload.
• When Siebel CRM Observability - Logging is enabled with Oracle OpenSearch, configure OpenSearch Dashboards authentication in the opensearch_dashboard_auth section of the Siebel deployment payload.

You can configure one or more users for each dashboard under the users section. User names must be unique within the corresponding authentication configuration.

You can enable authentication for:

• A new Siebel CRM environment during provisioning. For more information on enabling authentication during environment provisioning, see Enabling Authentication During Environment Provisioning.
