Updating BASE_URL After Deployment

You can update the Open Integration runtime URL after deployment by updating the Open Integration application Helm release in the infrastructure SCM Git repository.

To update the Open Integration runtime URL after deployment:

1. Go to the infrastructure SCM chart repository, pull the latest changes, and open the application HelmRelease:

   cd /home/opc/siebel/infrastructures/<infra_id>/<scm_repo>/
   git pull
   cd <deploy_name>-<deploy_id>/apps/base/siebel-<deploy_name>/
   vi siebel-openint-app-helmrelease.yaml

2. Under spec.values, update baseUrl and the BASE_URL entry under env to the same value:

            - name: OI_LOG_LEVEL
               value: "ERROR"
            - name: DLQ_LOG_LEVEL
               value: "ERROR"
            - name: BASE_URL
               value: "https://100.95.243.197:32082/openintegration/v1.0"

3. Commit and push the HelmRelease change:

   git add siebel-openint-app-helmrelease.yaml
   git commit -m "Update OpenIntegration BASE_URL"
   git push

4. Wait for Flux reconciliation and verify the value in the running container.

   kubectl rollout status deployment/siebel-open-integration -n <openint_namespace>
   kubectl exec -n <openint_namespace> deploy/siebel-open-integration -- printenv BASE_URL

   Flux reconciles the Open Integration application Helm release. The application pod restarts with the updated BASE_URL, and the printenv BASE_URL command returns the new URL.

Note: You must:

• Provide an absolute HTTP or HTTPS URL without whitespace or embedded credentials. If you specify a port, use a valid, non-zero port.
• Make sure the server certificate SAN covers the host name or IP address when you use HTTPS.
• Set openintegration.base_url in the initial deployment payload when the value must remain stable across reruns. A later SCM rerun regenerates resources from the saved deployment payload and can restore the original BASE_URL.
