Moving the Siebel Repository Files

Before doing the test environment upgrade, you must copy the upgraded repository definition files (schema*.ddl and custrep.dat) from the development environment to the test environment.

Environments: Development and Test.

Requirement: If you modified repository objects or schema definitions after completing the development upgrade, then you must regenerate the schema*.ddl and custrep.dat files. See Regenerating the Siebel Repository Definition Files.

Move the repository files

1. In the development environment, navigate to the following directory:

   Windows:DBSRVR_ROOT\platform

   UNIX: DBSRVR_ROOT/platform

   In these paths, platform is the database platform, for example, DBSRVR_ROOT\DB2.

2. Copy the following files:

   custrep.dat

   schema*.ddl

3. In the test environment, put these files in the following location:

   Windows: DBSRVR_ROOT\Platform

   UNIX: DBSRVR_ROOT/Platform

4. Make a copy of these files and store them in a safe location.
