Here's what's new in Siebel CRM Release 26.9:

Siebel Communications – TMF Open API Integration

Communication Service Providers (CSPs) are increasingly adopting TM Forum Open Digital Architecture (ODA) and TMF Open APIs to modernize their IT landscape and accelerate digital transformation. Siebel Communications now supports TMF Open API-based integrations for Order-to-Bill and agent-assisted billing care processes, providing a standardized, interoperable, and future-ready integration framework.

The solution introduces TMF Open API-based integrations between Siebel CRM, Oracle Communications Order and Service Management (OSM), and Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management (BRM), replacing the existing Oracle Application Integration Architecture (AIA)-based integration framework. It leverages TMF 622 (Product Ordering Management API) for order orchestration and TMF 666 (Account Management API) for account and billing interactions while preserving existing business capabilities and supported use cases.

Resume Capability for Monthly Update Utilities

The Resume Capability feature for Siebel Updates enables PostInstallDBSetup and RepositoryUpdate processes to continue from the last successfully completed logical step following an interruption or failure, eliminating the need to restart the update from the beginning.

By resuming only the remaining update steps, this enhancement significantly reduces recovery time, shortens maintenance windows, and minimizes operational risk. It also improves the reliability of Siebel Update operations while eliminating unnecessary reprocessing, resulting in a more efficient and predictable update experience for customers.
