Events for Service Resources

This topic describes the event types available for Oracle Base Database Cloud@Customer and Oracle Data Infrastructure Cloud@Customer resources.

OCI Events enables you to automate actions based on changes to resources within your tenancy. Services emit events, which are structured messages that indicate changes in resource state, configuration, or lifecycle operations.

You can use events to monitor resources, trigger automation workflows, and integrate with notification or operational processes. For example, you can configure notifications for resource lifecycle changes or trigger automated actions when specific operations complete.

To receive notifications for service events, subscribe to events by using the OCI Notifications service. You can use notifications to receive messages and integrate event-driven actions into your operational workflows.

In addition to the event types documented in this topic, Oracle may analyze additional service events to help support service operations, monitoring, and high availability capabilities.
